Glenn Davis and Heather Gilbert receive 2025 Tony Award Nominations

Congratulations to GLENN DAVIS (BFA, Acting, '04) and HEATHER GILBERT (MFA, Lighting Design, '97) on their 2025 Tony Award nominations!

Glenn is nominated for Featured Actor in a Play for his role in Purpose which received a total of six nominations, including Best Play. The cast of Purpose also includes ALANA ARENAS (BFA, Acting, '02).

Heather is nominated for Best Lighting Design of a Play for her co-design of Good Night, and Good Luck which received a total of five nominations.

Death Becomes Her received 10 nominations. AUSTIN CANTWELL (BFA, Theatre Managment, '24) is a general management intern with 321 Theatrical Management. ERICA HEMMINGER (MFA, Scene Design, '03) is the associate scenic designer.

English received five nominations including Best Play. It was produced by Roundabout Theatre Company where SCOTT ELLIS (BFA, Acting, 78) is the Interim Artistic Director. YASMIN ZACARIA MIKHAIEL (BFA, Dramaturgy/Criticism '17 & Faculty) served as the Cultural Competency Coordinator and Eduction Consultant.

John Proctor is the Villian received seven nominations including Best Play. GARRETT YOUNG (BFA, Acting, '19) is an understudy.

Just In Time received six nominations. ERICA HEMMINGER (MFA, Scene Design, '03) is the associate scenic designer.

Oh, Mary! received five nominations including Best Play. PHILLIP JAMES BRANNON (BFA, Acting, '06) was in the cast.

Pirates! The Penzance Musical received a nomination for Best Revival of a Musical. It is directed by SCOTT ELLIS (BFA, Acting, 78), who is also the Interim Artistic Director or Roundabout Theatre Company, who produced the show.
